It's a little twangy, and for most listeners that's close enough to country to call it country. But out of respect for Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, and Hank Sr. I wont call this disc country. I think "indie-twang" is a more accurate moniker. Besides, you’re probably more likely to see a bike rack full of fixies than a parking lot full of pickup trucks with shotguns in their back windows at a Ninja Gun show; so by default one of the easiest things to do is draw immediate comparisons to similar “indie-twang” acts like Lucero and Rilo Kiley.
