When I heard "Walk Out That Door," the first song on this album, it was like a religious experience. That single song filled a long standing void in my life. It’s an indescribably infectious Gore Gore Girls meets Carl Perkins mess with an absolute unmitigated disregard for what’s cool or what sounds good. The rest of the album follows suit, only replace the Gore Gore Girls with LeTigre and substitute Carl Perkins with Beck. Driven primarily by breakbeat drum work, you get equal parts male and female lo-fi vocals peppered with Casio punk synths and buzz saw guitar. It’s cool stuff, but it’s not for everyone.
