I’ve met the guys of See You Next Tuesday several times, and each time they prove to be a fan worthy band.  With hard, aggressive music and an easy going attitude, these guys know what it’s like to rock hard on the track and pat butts off the track.  Nothing is better than to see them live, an amazing energy and a tight musical outfit makes for one great show.  If you’re a fan of grindcore/metal, than this band is for you.  If you’re not, you should still go check them out, if only for the amazing display that is their live show.

Give our readers a brief bio on your band.

Well, let’s see. The band started a few years ago by a couple random gnarly dudes from the Bay City/Saginaw/Frankenmuth area of Michigan. We started getting popular in the scene and started touring non-stop. We went through a few member changes in the process (Travis and I are the new comers). Ferret caught wind of the band and signed us. We released our Ferret debut, Parasite in April of 2007. We toured all over Europe and North America (including Mexico) in support of the album. And now we are about to release our sophomore album, Intervals and then tour even more. Brief right?

Who/what are your influences?

Each one of us has different influences. We all don't really listen to the same stuff ... we all only really agree on Rage Against The Machine, At The Drive In, Refused, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Poison The Well.  But, we don't really sound like any of those bands, maybe Dillinger a tiny bit but not much.

Why are you in a band?

Free beer. Get to travel and meet cool people. Get to play shows almost every night. That’s about it.

See You Next Tuesday

Why did you name your band See You Next Tuesday?

C U Next Tuesday. Think about it. Drew heard the phrase on an episode of Sex And The City. History is made.

What is your favorite song to play and why?

Right now, pretty much any song off Intervals I love playing just because we are so sick of playing the old songs. But my favorite right now is, "This Time the Keys Are Broken". It's just amped and pissed as fuck. I love it. "Daydreams" and "Nightmares" have been fun too!

Give us one good road story.

This past February we were on tour with Beneath The Massacre, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Born Of Osiris. The day of our NYC show we had a video interview for some Web site, I forget which. Anyway, we got there at about noon. And as soon as we walked into their office,  we were handed two six packs of beer. It really isn't too uncommon for us to start drinking as early as possible, but this is just where the story starts. During the interview we had a beer shotgun competition. This got the gears turning. In the process of trying to get our straight edge merch dude to drink, Travis and I discovered how amazing PBR and Lemonade tasted together. This led to the consumption of a few gallons PBRmenade. More gears started turning. Ferret showed up and bought us drinks,  gears go faster. The bartender gives us our free drinks then gives us random shots while I'm still running back and forth to the van to drink the PBRmenade. Gears start breaking. Then we play and all hell breaks loose. I was a raging alcoholic mess. We go insane, crowd doesn't know what to think, and just stares at us. It was a mess. The show ended up getting shut down because of a fight during BTM's set. But we still kept drinking. And then the brilliant people at metalinjection.com decided it was a good time to do an interview with us and Tony Danza. That is where the story stopped for me because I blacked out. But I got the chance to view the rest of the story on youtube.com since metalinjection decided to post video from both the interviews and our whole set. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard at an interview then the one with Tony Danza and us. Go watch it. It sounds lame, but you just have to see the videos to understand. This was the second most drunk I've ever been at a show.

Are you willing to play at derby bouts around the country?

Hell yeah, why not?

If so, what is your favorite thing about the sport?

Well I can tell you that chicks being gnarly as hell is my favorite part of the sport.

Can you skate?

Yes I can actually. As a kid I grew up in a city with a roller rink. I went every night it was open. I was king shit on eight wheels. Roller skating was all that I really gave a shit about. And then I gave it up for awhile to skateboard. Then in high school, I ended up working at the rink so I was back to being there four nights a week. I still love it. On our tour with Beneath The Massacre we played a roller rink and I tore shit up! I'd go regularly if I had the time.

Compare yourself to a derby gal.

Derby gals = Mother fucking bad asses. Me = Mother fucking pussy ass bitch.

What's your favorite food?

I love me some chicken! I don't think I could live without it. But I pretty much love food in general. I'm fat.

Any advice for budding musicians?

If you want respect, tour your asses off, write original music and be good dudes. If you want fame, get signed based on Myspace plays and don’t ever tour, write horrible music with a bunch of breakdowns and be super shitty dudes.

Any future plans?

Intervals drops on October 14th in stores everywhere! And if your local record store doesn't have it, tell them they fucking suck then have them order it. Then we have a CD release tour in the Northeast U.S. then we tour Canada, Puerto Rico, The U.S. some more then back to Europe! Look forward to us playing pretty much everywhere in the world in the next year or so!
