Give us a brief rundown on your band.

We’re an all girl band based out of Los Angeles, Calif. We've been together since January 2006, and the lineup was different then.  Our new members are now Mel—drums, Lilis—bass, and the two of us who originally started the band, Nancy—backup vocals, lead guitar, and me D-Mess—vocals, rhythm guitar. We have toured up north and shared the stage with D.I., Mad Caddies, Total Chaos, Bow Wow Wow, and also sang Cherry Bomb with Cherie Currie of The Runaways. Recently, we played with Civet at the Van’s Warped Tour and for KROQ's Local's Only show.

How would you describe your music?

Our music is unpredictable; we play a variety of punk rock. It's how you interpret it as an individual.

Who are your influences?

We all have our own, but some of the influences we share as a band are: Red Aunts, Babes In Toyland, The Adicts, Minor Threat, L7,The Lunachicks, Subhumans, Dead Kennedys, and of course ya gotta love The Misfits.

What's your favorite thing about being in a band?

We all share the same thing; we love playing live and just creating music. We play in different cities every weekend, get in for free, we are exposed to a variety of local bands, and let's not forget the free booze!

What's your favorite thing about roller derby?

We love the adrenaline and of course, the excitement and violence of the game.

Can you skate?

Nancy is a pro! As for the rest of us, not so much.

Ever thought of becoming rollergirls?

We are too terrified to even try out; those girls are tough and they will fuck you up! We've seen our friend, Kat [Tough Souls #13] who is in Fight Crew in action and we don't want none of that!

How did you get involved in playing at roller derby bouts? How was the show?

We know some people on the teams who have referred our band and they later contacted us. The show we played on September 13, 2008 was phenomenal! We played two sets, D-Mess sang the national anthem to a sold out crowd of 1600 people and we got some good feedback!

Any future plans or final words?

It's always good to support your local bands and always do what you want.
