Southern Fried Smackdown

The third stop of the 2009 WFTDA tourney tour comes to Atlanta, Ga. this weekend for the South Central Regionals. Dubbed the Southern Fried Smackdown, this first ever South Central tournament is hosted by the Atlanta Rollergirls. Held at the Yaarab Shrine Temple in Midtown, look for three action-packed days filled with the exploits of the finest teams in the region. Ten teams will be battling it out for supremacy and the top three teams will advance to the WFTDA National Tournament, The Declaration of Derby, hosted by the Philly Roller Girls in Philadelphia, Penn. As their tournament Web site says “come and get a big helping of southern hospitality with a heaping side of brutality!”
