Derby on the Rocks

This weekend brings about the final round of tournament action in the form of Derby on the Rocks. The 2009 WFTDA Western Regional tournament is being co-hosted by The Denver Roller Dolls and the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls. The whole shebang takes place at the Bladium Sports Club in Denver, Co.
Derby on the Rocks will bring some of the nation's top derby athletes to Denver for the chance to compete in the national championship in Philly. Both host leagues are nationally ranked, highly competitive, and are expected to compete in regionals. The rest of the bracket is full of really strong teams as well, which should bring about some great derby action. The tourney will be open to the public and will be Colorado's largest roller derby event to date, bringing hundreds of skaters and team support staff to the Mile High City.
