Declaration of Derby

As they often say in the sports world, it all comes down to this. After four exciting and hard fought regional tournaments, twelve teams remain to vie for the 2009 WFTDA National Championship. The teams that remain are the true powerhouses in flat track derby. After only seeing a few upsets in the regionals (we're looking at you Rocky Mountain and Philly) expect to see some top notch action in the nationals. Every one of the teams still left standing has fought really hard all year, and every one of them have their eyes on the prize. But enough with the sports cliches. We can't wait for the action!

The aforementioned Philly Roller Girls are excited to host the final event of the 2009 WFTDA Tournament season — the Declaration of Derby — November 13-15, 2009, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PaCC). Located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, the PaCC is adjacent to a major hotel and connected to the hub of the city’s public transportation system. The Philly Roller Girls look forward to sharing the historic culture of the "City of Sisterly Shove" with their roller derby family from all over the world.
