On October 18th, the Ventura County Derby Darlins' will be hosting the 2nd Annual Battle for the Coast.  Nine leagues from all over California will be battling to claim the coast as their own stomping grounds with major bragging rights. Those leagues include the Ventura County Derby Darlins, OC Rollergirls, San Diego Derby Dolls, Angel City Derby Girls, Bakersfield Rollergirls, Sac City Rollers, Inland Empire Derby Divas, Prison City Derby Dames, and the Oly Rollers.  Will the OC Rollergirls claim victory once again or will the Inland Derby Divas roll their skate right over the map?  Maybe the Angel City Derby Girls will show their dark side, and just maybe the San Diego Derby Dolls will lay claim.  Whatever the outcome, this event should not be missed.  It will be an entire day of reckless roller derby and pride pulverizing athleticism.  This year there will also be a hot rod and motorcycle show along with live music, vendors, and food.  And just to round it all off, a portion of the proceeds will be going to Ventura Coalition to End Family Violence.  Mayhem, debauchery, cars, derby, food, and pure fun all in the name of a good cause.
