Frank Mullen: Roller derby photographer extraordinaire

Recently, a dear friend to the Atlanta Rollergirls and an epically talented photographer, passed away. Frank Mullen was a husband and father, and what we called an OG of the Atlanta Rollergirls. He supported our league since the very beginning and helped to make it what it is today. Not only did he make us look good with incredible photos, but he also made us feel good by being such a great friend.
Always behind the camera, Frank's talent will live on for years to come. Matteblack photography has been an integral part of the music world as well as the roller derby world. He has photographed many acts from Usher to the Flaming Lips and more. Much of his work has been published in books and magazines alike.
The passing of Frank Mullen is a tragic loss, but we want to celebrate his life. We also want to help take care of his family during this time. So, if you have even a dollar you can spare please visit www.zarias.com/ to show his family that roller girls across the country can come together and support those who have helped and believed in our emerging sport since the beginning.
