Anathema

Last Rites Gallery in New York City proudly presents the highly anticipated exhibit Anathema, featuring works by Shawn Barber and Vincent Castiglia. Barber is best known for his amazing Tattooed Portraits series. Barber will be signing copies of his latest book, Forever & Ever, at the opening. For this show, Barber's work is taking a turn towards a darker side. This will be Barber's first collection of erotic work on display. Castiglia is an award-winning painter who literally puts his life into his art; he uses his own blood as a medium. Painstakingly rendered, Castiglia's paintings are monochromatic tableaux emamining life, death, and the human condition. Anathema opens December 13th and will be on display until January 22nd. Should be quite the intriguing show. Don't miss this one.
